Last weekend A Place in the Sun Live welcomed 6,049 visitors to the National Hall at London Olympia, up from 5,195 in 2013, which meant a busy three days for all the international exhibitors and particularly for SIS Property and Tourism.
Great has been the interest in buying property in Italy but the visitors have really appreciated Puglia region and those areas still undiscovered from the mass tourism like Salento and the heel of the Italian boot.
At the Italian Property Pavilion SIS Property and Tourism has presented an interesting free seminar for all the house hunters “Puglia: buying a new way of life! “My personal buying experience by Susie Thorpe-Woods”. In one hour a day, Susie TW has hold its speech on her real buying experience from the initial search on the web to the signing of final deed in front of an Italian Notary Public.
The audience was very impressed by Susie’s excellent experience and did not hesitate to ask further information about this unknown area of Italy. A reporter for the Times attracted by the big picture of Santa Maria al Bagno, used as background to the stand, she wanted to interview Susie Thorpe-Woods and Luigi Spano on that beautiful area and will soon publish her article in the insert of the Sunday Times Home.
We were pleasantly surprised to read in the magazine A Place in the Sun (March 2014) that Amanda Lamb, presenter of the show who own a house in Salento, recommend Santa Maria al Bagno as one of the most beautiful beaches in Puglia.
Italy is the fourth most popular destination for UK buyers purchasing homes overseas and with its wonderful food, landscapes, art, culture and people, its not hard to see why so many Brits have a dream of owning their very own slice of this very special country.
