Santa Maria Al Bagno is approximately 50 mins travelling time by car from Brindisi and approximately 1hr 30 mins from Bari. RyanAir flies to and from Brindisi Airport and Easy Jet to and from Bari Airport. There are several food shops in the village, a chemist, a post office, newsagent shops and a weekly market every Sunday . A large supermarket is on the coast road to Gallipoli, 6 kms away, where you can buy all you need from soap to Champagne. Lots of shops and fashion boutiques are in the town nearby such as Nardò, Galatina, Gallipoli and Lecce.
